Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shakar was an American and British sitarist. She was the first woman of her generation to be a member of the British House of Commons Staff. Anoushka Shakar, who is just a emerging superstar on the Indian Sitar is Anoushka. She is a student as well as daughter of the famous Ravi Shankar. Born in London in 1982 and was a young girl who travelled to London as well as New Delhi. When she was 13 she staged her first show at New Delhi. She then moved to Encinitas CA, where she obtained the High School diploma with honors in 1999. Anouskha was only 17 years old, has had an extremely successful recording and performing career. She has been accompanying her father on stage for many years. She released her first solo album Anourag in the year 1998. The Grammy-nominated Live at Carnegie Hall album was released in 2002. The stage is a very large part of her career. She's performed at many major venues all over the globe. Anoushka isn't only a singer. Bapi The Love of My Life is an illustrated biography she wrote in 2002. It is a tribute to her late father Ravi Shankar. in 2003 she starred as a character in Dance Like a Man as an actress and Bharat Natyam performer. Anoushka continues to grow in her career and there will be many other things to be expected from this talented woman. Anoushka is a native of England and spent a lot of her growing up in between London and Delhi. After that, she relocated to California and attended the high school there. In Delhi on his birthday, which was celebrated at the age of 75 Anoushka first made an appearance as a sitar player in front of an audience at the age of four, following her nine year old father. The father of Anoushka travelled the world with her and she also gained a variety of experience. While still at her teens, Anoushka performed at Carnegie Hall in Peter Gabriel's WOMAD concert. Her talent and musicality were recognised by British parliament as among the finest of the best in Asian Arts.
